A: Charge time is dependent on your EV battery's capacity and the charger's power. Take a 7.4kW domestic fast charger for example, an average EV (with a 60kW battery) can take about 8 hours to charge to a 100%, while on a 3.7kW portable charger, it takes 12 hours to be full. DC fast chargers at 50kW+ can add 60-200 extra miles within just 20-30 minutes. Top-up charging is common as it is quicker for EV batteries to reach 80% battery than it is to charge the last 20%.
